Position Overview:
The Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing and overseeing individualized ABA therapy programs, and supervising Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and other ABA staff. The BCBA will work closely with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure that each child receives the highest standard of care and achieves their developmental goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Assessments:
- Perform initial and ongoing assessments of children to identify their strengths, challenges, and areas of improvement.
- Utilize standardized assessment tools and data collection methods to gather relevant information.
Develop Individualized Treatment Plans:
- Design and implement customized ABA therapy programs tailored to each child’s unique needs and goals.
- Set specific, measurable, and realistic objectives for each child’s progress.
Program Supervision and Oversight:
- Supervise and mentor RBTs and ABA staff to ensure accurate implementation of treatment plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of therapy programs, making adjustments as needed.
- Provide ongoing training and support to staff to enhance their skills and professional development.
Family Collaboration:
- Work closely with families and caregivers to educate and train them on ABA principles and techniques.
- Provide regular updates on the child’s progress and involve families in the decision-making process.
Data Collection and Analysis:
- Oversee accurate and timely data collection by RBTs and other team members.
- Analyze data to assess the effectiveness of interventions and make data-driven decisions.
Maintain Documentation:
- Ensure that all documentation, including treatment plans, progress notes, and reports, is accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with organizational and regulatory standards.
Stay Current with Best Practices:
- Keep up-to-date with the latest research, trends, and advancements in ABA and Autism treatment.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Certification: Must hold and maintain a current Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
- Education: Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience providing ABA therapy, with a focus on Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
- Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with families, caregivers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and the use of ABA software tools.
